Sexy Baby Doll

2006 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show

According to makeup artist Linda Hayes:

FACE
Skin was kept glowy with the use of Very Sexy Mosaic Bronzer ($18-no longer available) and Very Sexy Mosaic Blush in Wild Child ($18-no longer available) was used to make the cheeks pop.

Substitutions:
VS Makeup Baked Mineral Bronzing Powder, $16
VS Makeup Luminous Mineral Blush in Surrender, $15

EYES
The eyes are definitely the key to the look. Very Sexy Mosaic Eye Shadow in Urgency ($18-no longer available) was applied onto the eyes as wash and Very Sexy Sparkling Eye Liner in Lilac Flash ($10-no longer available) used to add definition. White eyeliner was used in the inside of the eyes and lots and lots of mascara applied on both upper and lower lashes. Individual lashes were also glued on layer by layer to finish the look.

Substitutions:
VS Makeup Eyeshadow Quad in Ravishing, $18
VS Makeup Eyeliner in Exotic Plum, $12
VS Makeup Triple Drama Mascara, $14

Lips
To fake that perfect pout, Very Sexy Perfect Lipstick in Whisper ($12-no longer available) was applied and topped with Very Sexy Lip Gloss in Rumor ($12-no longer available).

Substitutions:
VS Makeup Perfect Lipstick in Wish, $13
VS Makeup Lipgloss in Blush, $12

Body
Different products were used to give the models their perfect shimmery bronzed look. Bare Bronze Leg-Perfecting Spray Tint ($18-no longer available) and Bare Bronze Sheer Self-Tan Mousse ($17-no longer available) were used all over the body to create a temporary bronzing effect. A sparkling pink powder – Sexy Little Things Give Me The Shimmers Body Powder ($28-no longer available) – was also brushed on to create a toned body and cover all flaws.

Substitutions:
Beach Sexy Flawless Airbrush Instant Bronze Body Spray, $12
VS Makeup All Over Shimmer Powder in Candy Girl, $12

Hair
To create a sexy bedhead on the models, mousse was first applied on wet hair and set on large rollers and clips. A vertical curling iron was then used and the look was finished with a gloss.

Feminine and Glowing

2011 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show

FACE & CHEEKS
Step 1: Prep skin with VS PRO Airbrush FX Face Primer SPF 20 ($18) to create a supple canvas for makeup to glide on. Using a foundation brush or a damp sponge, buff on a tinted moisturizer (VS Makeup Tinted Moisturizer, $15).
Step 2: Conceal any skin imperfections with a concealer (Pro Camouflage FX Concealer Palette, $18) using a brush or your finger.
Step 3: To warm the skin, apply VS Baked Mineral Bronzing Powder in Glitterati ($16) over the face, concentrating on the top of the forehead, the temples, the cheekbones and the jawline.
Step 4: For that rosy flush, swirl a light pink blush (VS Luminous Mineral Blush Duo in Surrender, $15)  onto apples of cheeks pulling color slightly up towards the temples.
Step 5: As a finisher and for that iconic and angelic glow, dust VS Brilliant Shimmer Shadow in Gold Dust ($12) onto temples and along the tops of cheekbones.

Note: The bronzer, blush and gold highlighter should blend seamlessly into one another.

MAKEUP: EYES
Step 1: Start with an eye shadow primer (VS Makeup VS Pro Lasting FX Eyeshadow Primer, $10) on lids as a base for the eye look.
Step 2: For under-eye circles, darkness or puffiness, swipe a liquid highlighter under eyes.
Step 3: Pop  VS Brilliant Shimmer Shadow in Gold Dust ($12) onto the brow bones and the inner corners of the eyes. This will really open and enhance the eyes.
Step 4: To get ultra-flirty eyes (the focal point of the makeup), run a black liquid eyeliner (VS Makeup Brilliant Glitter Liquid Liner, $13) along upper lashline, starting at the inner corner and extending slightly beyond the outer corner for a slight upward cat-eye wing. [Note: It should look very natural — the liquid liner should not be overly dramatic or too thick.]
Step 5: Finish eyes with coats and coats of the volumizing and lengthening mascara (VS Makeup Triple Drama Mascara, $14) in black on both top and bottom lashes!

MAKEUP: LIPS
Step 1: Start with a gentle lip scrub (VS Pro Smooth FX Lip Scrub & Balm, $16) to exfoliate and replenish lips so they are perfectly smooth and plump.
Step 2: Apply VS Perfect Lipstick in Whisper (a pink champagne nude beloved by makeup artists and the VS Angels) ($13) to lips.
Step 3
: Top the lipstick with a coat of VS Lip Gloss is Sublime (a sheer coral) ($12) or VS Sparkling Lip Gloss in Delight (a sheer sparkly pink) ($13), concentrating on the center of the mouth for added fullness and shine.

MAKEUP: BODY
Note: In place of the deep bronze faux glow this year was a head-to-toe healthy glow!

Step 1: For a little boost of color, moisturize, then mist VS Beach Sexy Flawless Airbrush Instant Spray ($12) over the entire body.
Step 2: For highlights and contours, swirl a body brush in a bronzer (Beach Sexy Sun Dust Bronze Shimmer Body Powder, $12) and run it down the center of legs, on the collarbone and over shoulders.

HAIR
Note: This year’s signature hair look was full “tousled glamour.”

Step 1: Curl hair with a 1-inch or 1 1/4-inch barrel curling iron so that the curls turn outward for a wind-blown look.
Step 2: To amp up the volume and add texture, use VS So Sexy Style Clean & Go Dry Shampoo ($14) and top off with a shine spray.

Victoria’s Secret also has the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show Essential Makeup Kit ($35) to help you recreate the look at home! The set includes the Loose Shimmer Shadow in Gold Dust, Triple Drama Mascara, Sparkling Lip Gloss in Delight, and All-Over Shimmer Powder in Candy Girl.
